CCI is separated into multiple divisions including the Building division, Civil division, Bridge division, Asphalt Paving Division, and Federal division. Job Description/Summary

Skilled laborer position is held within the Guardrail Division of Curtis Contracting, Inc. Under close supervision, a skilled laborer performs traffic control duties, guardrail installation and repair duties including all safety regulations and procedures. Work is performed outdoors at construction sites, maintenance facilities and outside environments with exposure to inclement weather. Moderate physical demands; strength sufficient to lift and move heavy materials.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • Knowledge and practical application to operate construction equipment.

  • Techniques of traffic control.

  • OSHA safety rules and regulations, and safety standards in hazardous traffic environments.

  • Federal and state safety laws and regulations.

  • Safe and efficient operation and maintenance of small construction equipment as well as miscellaneous hand held tools according to standard operating and safety procedures.

  • Following safe work practices.

  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers.
