InGenesis Cardiac Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist) in HAMPTON, Virginia



Maintain and file appropriately both electronic and hardcopies of documentation.

Capable of performing Transthoracic echocardiography, Pediatric echocardiography, and Electrocardiogram. Must be able to assist with Stress echocardiography (exercise & pharmacological), Transesophageal echocardiography, Exercise stress testing, Provides echocardiography instruction to others in training and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Will operate and enter data in the Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and/or Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (ALTHA) program. Retrieves cardiology results on the Marquette Universal System for Electrocardiography (MUSE). Participates in education programs and in clinical staff quality assurance functions and Process Action Teams as required.


1) Possess a two-year Associate Degree in Applied Sciences recognized by the National Society for Cardiovascular Technology, or graduated from an accredited ultrasound program.

2) Must be a certified as a cardiac sonographer through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or registered through Cardiovascular Credentialing International

3) Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

4) Must have 12 months experience within the past 36 months working as a cardiac sonographer.
